Random Ramblings

Evening everyone! So I know this is getting coming out late tonight, but I wanted to get a quick post out tonight. So the weather has finally cooled down a tiny bit in Chicago. Thankfully, it has gotten cooler at night and it is tolerable without air conditioning. One of my summer classes ended tonight, not sure how I did on the final exam, but I'm hoping I did ok enough. My other classes are ending in the next week and a half. I will be so glad when I'm done so I can enjoy my summer, until fall classes start.

Friday I had work and afterwards I was far too tired to do anything at all so I stayed in and watched some Weeds on Netflix and then called it a night, I know I'm an old lady already, it sucks. Saturday during the day I lounged by the pool with my sister and a couple friends which was great and so needed. Later that night I wasn't planning on going out, but a few friends called and wanted to go out so we went out to a local bar and although I didn't want to {I know I'm a party pooper} I reluctantly went. I did gain something from going though, there was a raffle going on at the bar for a $200 best buy gift card and I ended up winning it!! I have no idea what I am going to spend it on, but I am excited to have won! Sunday was a very chill day, I had a paper to write ~~completely last minute~~ and so I did that and studied for my final. I really enjoy the weekends that I get to just enjoy the relaxing time at home.

Sunday Social Week {5}

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend after the 4th. Mine involved a lot of hanging out by the pool and drinking summer shandy, I also got to play with my friends dog Oakley, who is the cutest, most hyper chihuahua!

Well, another Sunday is upon us and that means it's time for the Sunday Social link-up with {Neely} & {Ashley}. This week's questions are all TV related and I knew these were going to be somewhat hard to answer because I watch far too much television, it's not healthy. I will try my best to keep the answers as short as possible, here goes!

I watch way too much TV nowadays, but here is my number 1 favorite show, since the beginning...

Which reality show would you NEVER do?

I'm a reality show junkie, I watch way too much to be normal. This is definitely the show I would never do...I could never eat any of the stuff or do the challenges, even for a lot of $$!!

Which reality show would you LOVE to do?

This is pretty easy to answer, for a long time watching The Amazing Race, I've always said I wanted to be on it. I might not get too far, but who cares you get to travel the world and do some pretty awesome things!

What is the TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?

Nail Files {7/6/12} & Bauble Swap Reveal

Thank god it's Friday. Even with the day off Wednesday it still didn't feel right, I would have preferred a Monday or Friday off, in 2 years we will get a Friday off for 4th of July so that's something to look forward to. Well today I am linking up with the fabulous ladies {Vicki} and {Tara} for the Nail Files.

With the 4th of July this week, I wanted to do some festive nails, but knew I cannot draw any sort of design or anything. I decided to keep it simple, but in doing so I have gotten numerous compliments from the bank lady, coworkers, patients, and even doctors! It didn't take me long to do and it looks great on.

Next I wanted to reveal my swap partner for the Bauble swap I participated in with the lovely host {Shanna}! She was so awesome to host this swap and I had a blast shopping for my partner, {Jamie}. Check out her post to see what I got her! When I got my package in the mail I was so excited to see what she got for me and who doesn't love a fun surprise in the mail?! Well when I opened it up I was more than pleased with my goodies!!

Bauble Swap

So the first thing I got is a beautiful coral necklace that I have already worn out twice! It is the perfect summer accessory and it dresses up any outfit!!! Perfect statement necklace to add to my jewelry collection, I know I will be wearing this so many more times.

{Jamie} also brought it for the arm party. She got me some amazing bangles that again, I've already worn a few times. They are the perfect colors to wear with my gold NY&C watch with different textures too.

I am so so happy with my goodies and I don't think {Jamie} could have picked better pieces for me. I am so happy that I participated in this awesome swap and there is still time to sign up, July 15th is the deadline so if you have been thinking about it I highly suggest it. Not only is it a great way to meet a new blogger buddy, but you get some goodies while shopping for someone else (which for me is the best part). It's 'OK' Thursday

Hello wonderful peeps! Hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July. There has been a heat wave in Chicago for like a week now and ~~I'm ready to move to Antarctica~~ I was avoiding being outside at all costs. I stayed home most of the day doing some cleaning and organizing around the house, but in the evening went out with a couple girlfrans to hang out at the fest in my area and catch some great fireworks! If you did anything exciting I'd love to hear about it in my comments below :)! Well it's Thursday and that means I'm linking up with the wonderful ladies {Neely} and {Amber} for it's OK Thursday...

...it's ok that during the amazing fireworks show I was also ~~mostly~~ checking out the hottie local cops and firefighters that were out and about!

...it's ok that I think it's wrong to have to back to work the day after the 4th if it's in the middle of the work week, it throws everything off.

...it's ok that I was doing some major fashion policin' at the fest last night, how practical is it wearing a mini skirt and 5 inch heels, high schoolers?

...it's ok that thoughts like the above make me so glad I'm not in high school anymore.

...it's ok that the 2 year anniversary of my grandma's passing is tomorrow and it still hurts/feels like it happened yesterday.

...it's ok that even though one of my favorite coworkers no longer works with me I'm going to see her tonight at buffalo wild wings for our girls night!!
