Mascara & Lip Gloss Swap Reveal!!

So a few weeks ago the lovely ladies Meg, Tara, and Holly blogged about an exciting mascara & lip gloss swap and I was more than excited to join in on the fun. 

When I got the email stating who my swap partner was, I was so pleased! Darby who blogs at Life with the Hawleys has become such a great bloggy friend of mine and I had so much fun getting to know her and shopping for her goodies! If you want to see what I got for her, check it out here. When I got my package in the mail, I was absolutely thrilled!! 

Her envelope is the cutest thing ever, I love the floral print and this was a great beginning and I hadn't even opened the package up. When I did tear through the packaging open it up, I found some great products!!

Darby definitely did NOT disappoint and I have already started using almost all of the products. The baby lips balm is one that I have already been using and that exact color too, so when I run out I will definitely replace it with this one. The nail polish has already been used in my Nail Files post here.

Fall into Fun

Happy Sunday everyone!! I'm still recovering from an exciting day yesterday {which I will recap tomorrow} so this post will be sweet and short!! I'm linking up with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social and week 9 is all about Fall. I think Fall is my favorite season because the weather in Chicago is for the most part awesome, the outfit choices become more fun, and hot chocolate is perfect to pair with the season! 

1. What is your favorite Fall activity? I love going to and watching football games!! Plus all the holidays are a ton of fun in the Fall!
2. Do you follow a football team? If so, which one & why? I LOVE my Chicago Bears, I went to my very first game last year and it was such a blast!! They have some pretty amazing players and they are always exciting to watch.

3. What is something fun about Fall in your area?

There is a large pumpkin patch really close to my house which is awesome for pumpkin picking and also there is a huge September Fest that happens in town. And I love going to Six Flags during Fright Fest because of all the decorations and spooky people.

4. Favorite Fall outfit staples?

I love wearing skinny jeans, boots/Uggs, comfy sweaters, and scarfs!!

5. Thing you are looking forward to most this Fall season?
Football games & pumpkin spice latte's at Starbucks. Plus I have a cousins trip planned to Colorado Springs this Thanksgiving!

6. Favorite Fall holiday? Traditions?
I absolutely love Thanksgiving. It is always surrounded by family and we always eat a LOT of food. Tradition wise, I always look forward to black Friday shopping the day after Thanksgiving and have been doing it for a few years now.

Nail Files {8/3/12}

Thank god it's Friday!! First weekend of August and I'm so excited for this month. Minus starting classes up again, my birthday falls at the end of the month {August 29th, let's not forget people} and my trip to Vegas is also at the end of the month. I just have absolutely no patience to wait until then!!! Well this weekend I'm planning on going to a friend's going away BBQ and spending some quality time with my cousins! Well today being Friday you know it's time for another week of Nail Files. I'm linking up with Tara & Vicki.

Since the summer is coming to a close at the end of the month I want to keep my bright nails going on as long as I can. So I opted to go with my Sally Hansen polishes: bubblegum pink & strobe light as an accent nail.

It's 'OK' Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! This post will be short and sweet, I'm linking up with {Neely} and {Amber} to say It's Ok!

...it's ok that I've been staying up way later than normal to watch countless hours of old TV shows on Netflix.

...it's ok that I am overly excited for the new shows come Fall, let's hope the networks give em half a chance to make it.

...it's ok to have that midnight snack plus two spoonfuls of nutella because you ate healthy the whole rest of the day.

...it's ok to hate the hospital cafeteria food, but I'm too lazy to make and pack a lunch for myself every morning.

...it's ok to throw a fit after your mom turns your favorite white shorts a pale pink and no amount of bleach will get it white again.

...it's ok that I have the nicest younger sister who gave me her white shorts after said fit. 

...it's ok to not watch anything else on TV besides the Olympics, I'll be sad when it's over!

...it's ok that I put a ridiculous amount of funny ecards on my posts, their funny and you know it!

Here's the Story...

...of some lovely ladies. Cheesy, I know, but it was the only creative thing I could think of at that moment. So I am trying/doing something new on the blog this month. I have been reaching out and making connections with some lovely bloggers since I've started to blog and I am swapping buttons with some incredible people.
