Wedding Wednesday {Save-The-Dates}

These days are just flying by and it's already the middle of August...get out of here. I can't believe how quickly this month has flown by and it's my 2nd week of Wedding Wednesday with the awesome Macy!

Last week I mentioned my engagement shoot coming up at the end of the month. I'm so excited for the pictures and even though I'll likely be sweating my face off in San Antonio, the sheer excitement of getting pictures that will be ours to cherish forever is just amazing.

The idea of save-the-dates is really great and I love receiving them from others, but originally I was completely opposed to doing them because I thought they were an added headache I didn't want to deal with. After some time, I kept seeing ideas of different save-the-dates and a little birdie inside my head just kept telling me that it's a good idea. So alas, we are having save-the-dates, but only sending them to close family and friends. My sister tipped me off to a site that actually has free save-the-dates where you can customize a bunch of different styles of cards and save it to your computer. I love that they are free to design because it'll save me money having to only have them printed and mailed out. You aren't even limited to just save-the-dates, there are tons of other printables that are free. Check them out on the Wedding Chicks website. Here are some of my favorites and I did a draft of it with old pictures of the fiance and I to get an idea of how it looks. The awesome thing is on some of them you can change up the colors and make it your wedding colors! Let me know what your top pick is in the comments below!

  1. OH my gosh!! I LOVE the bottom one exactly how it is, that picture works perfectly with the Save-The-Date image. I will have to check out the Wedding Chicks website, that is so cool that they offer these for free.

  4. So fun! I love them all- I think I like the calendar the best if you could do like a heart or something over the date! Seriously though they're all gorgeous! I kind of want to just go play around on the website now ;)

  10. I love all of your Save the Date ideas. The first and last our my favorites. We did Save the Date postcards, really because I found one that I just loved so much I ended up framing it in our kitchen. I liked the idea of the postcards because the postage was so much cheaper. And it was a fun way to get our guests excited about the wedding. I agree, we only sent ours to close family and then ended up inviting a few more people once we got more details in place and figured out our invite list.
