September Goals

Happy Friday eve friends! Even though this was a short week (for most of us) it has seriously been a crazy one. Work has been nonstop which has me exhausted on the daily, I literally cannot wait for the weekend!! 

Now I realize I am pretty late in getting some goals set up for September, but with Labor Day and everything else going on...I'll let it pass. I love the idea of setting up goals for myself for the month and keeping myself accountable on the blog to try to stick to them as best as I can. I feel as the seasons start to change, my mind just feels like recharging and renewing which leads me to some of my goals for this month.



1. Drink 120 oz of water daily
I was doing so well at this earlier in the summer, but of course life takes over. I could definitely be drinking more water throughout my day and want to make it more of a point to do so. Not only do I feel more energized when I drink plenty of water, but my skin looks fantastic. It's nuts that such a small change to your day can make a pretty big difference.


2. Spend only on what I NEED & not what I WANT
I am a terrible impulse buyer. Those little impulse stands at the check-out of stores, yup I'll 9 times out of 10 grab something that I just neeeeed. That needs to stop along with spending money on lunch at work when I could wake up 5 minutes earlier and pack myself a lunch. This will definitely be an ongoing goal, but I think this month I can definitely do good on this.


3. Get back on a 2x/week exercise regimen
I was good on doing this in the summer, but of course fell off the wagon. Now that life has seemed to slow down a bit and the weather is cooling off, I could most definitely allot 2 times a week to exercising. I also want to incorporate more at-home workouts into my routine and stepping up to 3-4 times a week...baby steps though.


4. Plan ahead on blog posts & be more organized
I feel like when life gets hard or busy, the first thing to be put on the back burner is this blog. Now that some of my favorite blogging girls are back (hi Jen @ Party of One & Robin @ Living Colorfully, they are the sweetest girls so if you don't already, check out their blog!) I want to make it a point to plan ahead on my posts and schedule them so I'm not rushing to get them out. I feel like the summer is really hard for bloggers, even though we are doing so many blog-worthy things, we never seem to get a chance to actually post and when we do it's rushed and sloppy...guilty! Now that Fall is nearly upon us and the Holidays are right around the corner, it's the perfect time to get back in a good habit about blogging.


I don't want to overwhelm myself with too many goals, but these are some of the biggies that I want to focus on this month. What are some of the goals you are setting for yourself? Any tips on how to stick to any of these, please comment below!

  1. The water thing is a goal I always strive for as well! Get that MIRA bottle in the 25oz it really helps!

  2. I'm so happy to see Jen back in the bloggy-world! And YES to drinking more water and getting back into an exercise routine, it's so hard to start but once it becomes a routine it gets so much better ;-)

  3. Isn't it crazy how much of a difference drinking water makes in your skin?! I notice it too when I eat a lot of fruit for some reason.. maybe because it has a lot of water in it? No clue but I'll take it haha. And yes to fall blogging - it's my favorite!
