You guys, every woman's wishes (well I think every woman's) are coming true on Sunday Jan 5th, 2014. The beautiful specimen that is Juan Pablo will be the new bachelor embarking on a journey to find Mrs. Juan Pablo. Even though I wish I was in the running for that position, the selection this year is hmm....interesting to say the least. I think there are a few contenders in the mix who may make it through, but only time will tell.

Why I love you too Juan Pablo :).

So after sifting through the list of eligible bachelorettes for Juan Pablo to pick through, I came across some interesting information about these girls. Let's take a peek...

So wait, you're telling me being a "free spirit" is a legit occupation?!? I don't see this girl making it past the first night, I really hope she has a real job. Also for her best attributes, she uses very an awful lot. She seems like a wafty choice for Juan Pablo, he needs some stability in his life especially because of his daughter, not some chick who claims to be a free spirit.

Oooooooook, now we have a "dog lover". I mean don't get me wrong, I like dogs as much as the next person, but that is not an occupation. This girl is actually pretty, but her occupation alone just was a no in my mind.

The only thing that really bugs me about this girl is the fact that she's a "former NBA dancer". Ummm, unless her age is incorrect, how can you be a former dancer and what is it that she is doing currently or is she another one of those who "hasn't figured it out". Again with the stability issue with Juan Pablo's daughter, I don't think he wants a 21 year old taking care of his daughter.

Now onto the girls who I actually think will make it pretty far. There are 10 and I won't write anything just post their info. The other girls just don't stand out to me and will likely go home on the first few nights.

That's all I got for ya today, oh yea I'm headed to a girl's night out with some of my girlfriends to watch the Chippendale's men perform magic mike, this should definitely be an interesting night to say the least. If I'm allowed to take any pictures, I will recap the show. After seeing Thunder from Down Under in Las Vegas, I'm curious to see how the Chippendale's show stacks up!

Hello lovelies!!

So I was pondering my life and what I could possibly write about and entertain you guys with. I've noticed my trend with dating and guys in general, the time between October & January is usually the time I begin dating a guy. I'm currently still living the single life and to tell you the truth, it sucks sometimes. I love my friends and am happy for each and every one of them, but sometimes it sucks being the single friend in the group. Granted, my friends are great and never make me feel left out, but sometimes you just need that special person in your life.

Now recently, the few times that I've gone out with my best friend, her cousin had come out with us. Now I've hung out with him a few time before (with my friend of course) and never really thought anything of it (probably because he had a girlfriend at that time). Recently, he his girlfriend and him have broken up and there was just a time when it hit me and I noticed him in that way. He is really easy to talk to and hilarious. I'm kind of stuck though, it's my best friends cousin. I think bringing it up won't freak her out that much, but I just feel uncomfortable putting her in a situation like this. I don't want things to get to a point where if we date and it doesn't work out then it becomes awkward. I have known this friend for 10 years and we are so close that we know each others families.

Have you guys ever been in this situation and what advice could you give me? Do I pursue this guy or just don't get myself in that situation? I'm also at the point where I don't entirely know how he feels about me, but the way he says certain things when we talk, it sounds like he's flirting (am I so out of the game that I can't tell if a is flirting with me). If I do pursue this, do I ask my friend to play cupid?

Any thoughts or advice would be super helpful in this situation!

Sunday Social {Week 78}

Happy Sunday & First day of December!!

I feel like this Thanksgiving weekend has been the longest ever, not that I'm complaining, but I'm definitely going into Monday with a good, rested attitude. I had a very chill and quiet Thanksgiving, mostly spending the day outside of Target, but hey I was with my family! Got a TON of my Christmas shopping done already and picked up a few awesome gifts for myself!!

 Today I'm linking up with Neely & Ashely for Sunday Social. When I was blogging regularly I loved linking up with them and answering their fun questions!

1. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? I don't eat ice cream much anymore, but Froyo has been a staple in my diet and the cold weather won't stop me from eating it. I usually like mixing my flavors, sweet/chocolate mixed with a tart taste.

2. What is your favorite smell?

I picked this candle up from Target a few months ago and cannot get over how good it smells. It's definitely my favorite smell ever, love baked goods and candles that smell like that so it wins!

3. What is your favorite commercial (past or present)?

4. What is your favorite day of the week?

Well this is pretty easy, Saturday is probably my favorite day of the week because I don't work and there is always something going on in the weekend, especially around the holidays!

5. What is your favorite way to waste time?

Painting my nails is probably my favorite thing to do lately because I like experimenting with different colors, etc. I also tend to change up my color every week (sometimes twice a week).

6. What is your favorite article of clothing?

Well I have plenty of clothes that I'm attached to, but since we are in full blown Christmas weather, this is my absolute favorite sweater to wear, plus I only paid $3 for it at H&M, nothing more than I love than a comfortable sweater and at a bargain!!

Well lovies, hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and spent it eating, being thankful, shopping, and spending time with family. Another thing that I did (and noticed a lot of other people did) was put up my Christmas tree, it's a dinky little tree, but I had a blast putting it up and decorating, it makes it look like Christmas already!!

I also want to mention how sad it was last night to find out about Paul Walker passing away from a car crash/explosion in California. I loved him in the Fast & the Furious movies and it won't ever be the same without him. RIP to him and prayers to his family to cope with his death, he was taken too early.

Mondays Suck, Here's A Weekend Recap!

Yet another Monday is upon us, but luckily this is a super short work week for me and for many others (I feel horrible for the people who have to work on Thanksgiving because places decided it's better to make money instead of letting them hang with their families.) I will be shopping on black Friday to finish up my Christmas shopping list, only hitting up Target because let's face it I can find everything there! So I had every intention of writing up a blog post on Friday, but I was hosting a surprise birthday party with my sister for her friend and got caught up baking and decorating the house before guests arrived. Instead, I'll just recap the events of the party and the rest of my weekend!

Thursday

I'm including Thursday because my weekend started early this week. I had a Cardiology dinner put on by the cardiologists that work for the hospital I work at and it was great. I then headed out to the movies to meet my sister up to watch Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Let me just say I absolutely LOVED this movie. I cannot wait until the next movie is out. Some people complained about JLaw's performance being stale like KStew, but I digress, she was awesome as always!! If you haven't seen it already then I highly suggest you go out and watch it, ASAP!

Friday

After my class in the morning, I came home and tried to get any baking and setting up I could get done. I had pretty much done nothing to set up for the party so I had to haul ass and get to all the projects I had in mind. The birthday girl loves tiffany blue so we decided on tiffany blue boxed party favors with candy inside. The only problem with this idea was that I had to assemble all 20 boxes and make the ribbon bows for the favors, then hot glue gun the bows to the box. Then I had to run out and pick up the Jimmy Johns sandwiches we had ordered and come back to start my clean up and decorating. It was during this time where I thought I'd be ambitious and type up a blog post, unfortunately this didn't happen. I got all the decor and we had everyone show up right before the birthday girl was to show up and the surprise worked out perfectly, she had no idea this was going on and was so shocked that we did all this for her.

Saturday was a bore fest, I did nothing blog worthy except a ton of homework. Again, uneventful.

Sunday

In the afternoon I went to a bridal expo with my bestie (and bride-to-be) to check out some vendors and get any new ideas. Plus the free swag and yummy treats didn't hurt. After spending a few hours at the expo, we headed to Crate & Barrel to do some of her registry list. This was the very first time either of us had done something like this and boy was it overwhelming. I didn't realize how much stuff you needed and all the different options there were. Thankfully, I learned a lot and we got the majority of the stuff scanned and sitting pretty on her registry list for her loved ones to gift her. If you've done wedding registry's, any tips or tricks to pass onto her?! After that I headed to Target with her to do some returning and some shopping, I picked up a cute chevron dress and other little necessary items and came home to binge watch Lifetime holiday movies the rest of the night.

Oo I also did book my tickets to Denver, CO for the end of January to visit my older cousin and her kiddos for a week. I am super excited because I've never been and can't wait to see what Colorado has to offer. Any suggestions on places to visit or eat at while I'm there?!

Recent Beauty Finds

You know what day it is??? HUMP DAY!!! That darn camel from the Geico commercial always comes to my mind on Wednesdays. So I wanted to go back to my beauty roots in today's post and talk to you guys about some things that I recently picked up from Sephora and Ulta. 

{} Moroccan Argan Oil

I got this hair treatment because I wanted to start using a regular hair mask and know the Organix line is great, plus it smells awesome! I'll report back how it works on my hair.

{} Benefit Fake Up Crease-Control Hydrating Concealer

I had been in the market for a new go-to concealer and so when I went to Sephora and they suggested this gem, I bought it right away. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but the girl tried it out on me at Sephora and I noticed a huge difference already. I got the Medium shade (they have light, medium, and dark) which is a few shades lighter than my normal foundation so it gives my under eyes a nice glow. Also a huge plus is this is crease-controlling so thats huge!! 

{} NYX Eye/Eybrow Pencil in Black

I have slowly been running out of my favorite eye liner pencil and needed to pick one up asap, I've never tried this one, but the NYX brand is affordable and works pretty well from my use of other products. I picked up 2 at Ulta because it was buy 1 get 1 50%, so why not!

{} EcoTools Airbrush Concealer Brush 

I absolutely love the ecoTools brand because the bristles are so soft on my skin. I needed a proper concealer brush to help buff the concealer into my skin and this brush is nice because it's small, but it's pretty dense.

{} Loreal Taste of Romance (dusty pink)

I love this color, I can never have too many pink shades of polish because I wear them so often. This is such a soft pink, but I am excited to try it out and show you guys how it looks!

{} Loreal Greycian Goddess (light grey)

Gray or Grey, this shade is something that has been missing from my collection and I'm so excited to try it out. The name alone got me hooked and I had to have it. I have other darker greys, but this one is def going to be used a lot!

{} Essie Sole Mate

Being a lover of Essie I wanted to pick up a perfect fall/winter color and this deep red was perfect. Not only is the name adorable, but the shade is pretty awesome. I'm excited to try this one out too. Definitely gonna change up my nail color a lot in the coming weeks.

I am so happy and excited to try out my new beauty goodies. I wanted to get more, but the thought of Christmas gifts crossed my mind and my wallet slowly went back in my purse. Have you guys picked up anything lately that's a must try, I'm always looking for suggestions and new products!!
