How to Beat the Winter Blues

Hey friends! So, I don't know if you all know this, but this is seriously the longest and worst winter of my life. I'm dreaming of spring and summer because it feels like it's been a hot minute since we've seen nice weather. I never want to leave my house and dread having to bundle up to run errands. If you are living in the parts of the world that are a freezing arctic tundra (or think it is because it's 50 degrees in FL and that's cold to you), here are a few things you can do to beat the winter blues.

Stay home and don't leave the house for anything

this may be hard for 99.5% of Americans because we have these things called jobs, groceries, etc to take care of.

Roam the Pinterest travel boards 

these bad boys could easily put you in wanderlust instantly. The pretty beaches, warmer climates, and sunshine can make anyone want to go there.

Buy a one way ticket to paradise

oh how I wish I could run to O'hare airport and just head anywhere warm. The snowstorms every other day may delay flights and make this a little hard.

Make your home smell like a beach

hit up your local bath and body works (yes this means bearing the cold weather) and purchasing one of each of their Tropical Collection candles. With scents like Peach Bellini, Tiki Beach, Beach Cabana, and Caribbean Escape you could easily pretend you are anywhere.

I did not get paid by B&BW for this, I really just love their new collection.

So I realize that most of these ideas are probably not realistic. I really do think you can hook yourself up with some amazing smelling candles (2 for $25 right now at B&BW!!). If you have the monies to get yourselves a one way ticket to paradise, pleaseeeee take me with you!

For now, I believe this winter is never going to end and we are just going to have to live in this arctic hell year round. If you live in warmer climates, I am so insanely jealous of you and please adopt me to live with you, I promise I am a great roommate!
