Nail Files {11/30/12}

Yay, it's finally Friday!! I cannot believe how quickly November has came and gone and now there is only one more month until 2013!! I have a feeling next year will be a great one and I hope that's true! Since it's Friday, I'm linking up with Vicki and Tara for Nail Files.

I had some extra time this week to take care of my nails which meant fixing unwanted cuticles, buffering and shaping my nails. I also decided to do a "at home" French manicure.

For this week I used Rimmel London's French Rose. I only needed 2 coats to get the color I wanted and I was super pleased with the end result. It looked like a professional manicure without costing so much!

What's on your nails this week?

OHP: Dream Home

Happy hump day all! I have noticed that I have been browsing Pinterest wayyy more than normal. I have been in love with pinning from the get go and I just can't get enough of it. Have you heard of the secret boards that you can now create?! I thought about putting my wedding idea board as secret, but then I realized that my dream rings are on there and the boy could get a small hint from the board later down the road. Anywho, these are some of my favorite 'dream home' pins as of late. Linking up with the gorgeous Michelle!

So I will gladly take a nice clean home with all these pins above, thanks! Hopefully one day I can have at least something as close to these rooms. What have you been pinning lately, leave your pinterest links in my comments below and I'll stalk your boards!

Peace, Love & Pinning!

Isaac Strong

If you haven't heard/seen this floating everyone around the blogosphere, then please read about it now. This little boy, Isaac is only 6 years old and him and his family are going through a terrifying time in their lives right now. He is currently dying of cancer and it's quite frankly not fair! I'm pissed! I'm mad that innocent children's lives are taken away from them so quickly. All I keep wondering is why, why did he have to have this horrible disease rip through his body. I cannot even begin to fathom what his parents, 2 brothers and extended family are going through. All I can do is educate myself on his story, his journey, and pray. Pray that God let's him see Christmas and build more lego toys. Pray that his parents get to have him around a lot longer. Pray that his 2 brothers don't have to get their hearts broken by this horrible disease. After seeing this on Erin's blog, I read his parents online journal about their journey through this disease. My heart literally breaks just trying to wrap this around my head. I wish and pray that there is a miracle for not only Isaac, but other children that are facing this horrifying disease. Please read Erin's blog post on how you can donate, you can give money, food, drawings, legos, ANYTHING to help this family out in just the smallest way. Please share Isaac's story with your family, friends, coworkers, etc and spread the word

Insta Tuesday

Hey everyone! I haven't linked up with Taingamala for Insta Tuesday in a while, so I'm doing so today!

I wore this outfit for a dinner with our hospitals' cardiologists. Sweater dress from Old Navy and boots from Agaci.

My sister and I had a pizza & wine night, this $10 dinner box is amazing and filling!

This was me at our bar & grille to watch Monday Night Football and watch my beloved Bears get crushed by the 49ers, tear, but my wine was great!

Oberweis Frostbite with m&m's, yummy in my tummy.

This was Tuesday morning on my drive to work, the fog was so dense I could barely see my hand out in front of me.

Keeping it classy by taking a outfit picture in the women's bathroom at a bar! Blouse from TJ Maxx, black jeggings from Ross, black suede wedges from Payless.

Enjoying my white wine on black Wednesday!

Running into an old friend {in the blue} is always a great night!

I love these girls <3 font="font">

Love my clique, these people are my rocks!

Well, I hope you guys got a little glimpse into my week through pictures. Now go ahead and link up and leave your links in my comments so I can go check it out!

Toodles!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Monday {not}! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend with their loved ones, I know I sure did and I'm having a friendsgiving on Saturday so the pigging out continues! Here is my weekend happenings {including Thanksgiving day, which was technically Thursday, but still counts}.

My outfit for Thanksgiving, sweater from Agaci, Jeans from Gilly Hicks, sleepy look courtesy of me!

Watching a Friends marathon with my cousins on Thanksgiving, I may or may not ok I did devour those yummy candies on the TV stand, #sorryimnotsorry.

This was my plate on Thanksgiving, might not seem like a whole lot, but I went back for seconds and thirds.

This was the only thing I wanted from Black Friday and I got it {without having to go out myself, my awesome friend scored one for me}!

I sold my iPad, sad to see it go, but I realized I wasn't using it much and would much rather have the money to use especially around the holidays.

Woodfield Mall all decorated, it looks like a winter wonderland!

I sucked with pictures again this year during Thanksgiving and me trying to take pictures after everyone ate didn't go over so well.

I'm linking up for Weekend Update with LeeAnnDana, and Sami

I'm out girl scouts!

Sunday Social {Week 25}

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing and thankful Thanksgiving weekend. It's unfortunate that tomorrow is Monday and that means back to business as usual, but good to know the holiday season is in full effect now. My thanksgiving is being celebrated next Saturday as well with a "friendsgiving" party and I cannot wait to pig out yet again! I'm linking up with the awesome ladies Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social. This week it's all about the 4's in our lives...

Sunday Social

1. Name 4 jobs you've had in your life.
My first job was when I was 16 and worked at Mrs. Fields cookies, it was the best because I got to sit around and eat cookies all day! I've also worked at Victoria's Secret, Express, community bank, and my current job at the hospital. {Sorry there are more than 4 here}.

2. Name 4 movies you would watch over and over.
This one is hard because I rarely like watching movies over and over, but there are a few particular movies that I make an exception for. Remember the Titans, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and A Walk To Remember. I know that is a pretty weird range of movies, but they are all classics to me!

3. Name 4 places you have lived.
I have actually lived in Chicago my entire life {born and raised}, but we have moved a few times. The house we lived in when I was born was in Wheeling, IL. Then we moved to Schaumburg, IL and moved one last time to another house in Schaumburg. Who knows where my 4th place will be, could be outside of Chicago!

4. Name 4 of your favorite foods.
Does the general Taco Bell menu count? Let's see, I love food so this will be a hard one, but I love Mexican pizza, ravioli, garlic bread sticks, and watermelon. Not all together of course, or I'd have a yucky tummy ache, but definitely foods I could eat all the time.

5. Name 4 things you always carry with you.
I usually always have my wallet {id, cards, etc}, phone, chapstick, and extra hair ties.

6. Name 4 places you have been on vacation.
I wish I could say I have been on some incredible vacations, but unfortunately I haven't. The only other country I have been to is India and that's always fun for me. In the states, my favorite places I've vacationed to are New York City, Orlando, Las Vegas, and San Antonio.

Well kiddos, hope you enjoyed reading.

I'm out like a cub scout!

Nail Files {11/23/12}

Happy day after Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all had an amazing time with family/friends/loved ones and are in a permanent food coma like I am. Unfortunately, I have to work today, hospitals don't like to be closed the day after Thanksgiving or ever. I'm gonna make this short and sweet, linking up with the wonderful ladies Vicki and Tara for Nail Files.

I went simple this week because I was lazy and wanted some polish on my nails. The polish I used is the Ulta brand in Brownette.

What color are you all sportin' this week?

Happy Black Friday!!
