A Makeup Lover's Guide: New Favorites

Discovering new makeup products is my absolute favorite thing to do. Whether I pick stuff up based on the recommendation of the girls at Sephora, or from what I read on my favorite beauty blogs, finding and falling in love with makeup products is wonderful. Here are some of the latest things I've picked up and am loving!

I fell for this blush after my sister picked it up and I tried it on for the first time. I love all the different shades in the blush that come together to give the perfect cheeky glow. I love that it looks as if it has some highlighter in the blush to make the color pop. This is a baked blush and comes from a fantastic line, Hourglass. The price point is $35 which is totally a reasonable price for a high end blush. If you are in the market for a new blush and want to try something new, I suggest you pick up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. I picked up the Radiant Magenta which is described to be a golden fuschia, I think this color is pretty universal and can work on a variety of skin colors, but I definitely want to explore some of the other colors! Do you use this blush, any shade you love?

2015 has been and will continue (in 2016) to be all about the brows. I love the look of a rich brow that doesn't look tacky. Filling in your brows has never been more easy or made such a dramatic change in your look. My go to for anything brows has been and will continue to be Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, this is the easiest application and I have even trained my sister, who is totally makeup challenged, to expertly fill her brows in. After being introduced to this by the makeup artist at Sephora who has done my makeup for a few years, I knew this beauty had to be in my makeup arsenal. I don't typically do my full brows on a regular work day because it tends to be pretty dramatic for my muted daily makeup, but for nights out this is the best.

When it comes to matte eye shadow palettes, Too Faced is seriously the best. I always gravitate to shades of browns and dark purples when it comes to my eye makeup, so this palette is seriously great. I love how these shades blend together perfectly and the pigmentation of these shadows is unreal. I also think this is the best for a travel palette, you can mix daytime and nighttime looks seemlessly with these shades. Plus the fun names can't hurt.

  4. The blush looks so pretty! I'm sure it looks great on your complexion. I tend to use bronzer so I can look less white but I have started using some pinks on my cheeks to switch it up a bit.

I wish I knew how to do my eyebrows, but I think if I even attempted it, I would end up looking like Frida Kahlo! Hahaha.
