Wedding Wednesday | Bridal Henna

Happy Wedding Wednesday friends!! I still can't believe that we are already in February and time is just zooming past! These past few weeks I've seemed to rev back up on the wedding planning train and I don't see too much slowing down from here. There is just so many little details now that can be worked on because I'm almost at that 5 month mark. Here are a few things that I've checked off my to-do list as of lately:

.: Rented our convertible for the week of our wedding :.

.: Got my alterations on my outfits started :.

.: Finalized my wedding invites :.

.: Got everyone's addresses added to my template :.

.: Received my wedding cake topper :.

.: Booked hotel rooms for out-of-town guests :.

Phew, when it's all written out there I've seriously got a lot accomplished! It's great to see how things are progressing.

This past week I was tasked to find some local henna artists for not only myself, but for our event on Friday evening. After reaching out to a few ladies, I've narrowed it down to 2 and have since been scouring Pinterest for inspiration on my bridal henna.

Henna is a traditional part of any Indian wedding where dyed paste is applied on a bride's hands and feet in intricate designs a few nights before her wedding. The symbolism behind bridal henna is said to be when the henna is all dried, the darker the color appears on your hands and feet, the more loved you are by your groom-to-be. It's a fun event and I can't wait to share the special moments with my loved ones!

Here are some of the pictures that have been inspiring me lately...
