Hey blog friends!! If anyone is still around these parts, thanks. I have really sucked at blogging during the summer consistently and from reading other blogs, I see others go through the same thing. I don't know what it is about the summer, but I am rarely on my laptop long enough to get a blog post up. I have been trying to get this post up for a while because I'm excited to introduce you guys to an awesome new blogger and Etsy shop owner! Jenni is such a sweet blogger and I was so excited when she approached me. I am always willing to help out a fellow blogger and think her shop is the cutest thing! I'll let her take over from here...
First of all, thank you so much to Nikki for working with me to bring you all this giveaway! I'm Jenni, but I also sometimes go by Jennis because of a late night mistake one of my friends made with my name and it stuck. I'm currently working at Nordstrom for the summer, but during the school year I attend university in California. I opened my shop, The Beautiful Fools, last month because I love to craft and also because I dream of owning my own business one day and think this is a great way to start on the path to that dream. The name of it was inspired by my blog, The Beautiful Little Fools, which was inspired by The Great Gatsby. I first read the book in freshman English class and instantly fell in love with it along with Fitzgerald. There was a quote by Daisy that really stood out to me it that goes, "I hope she'll be a fool--that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool... You see, I think everything's terrible anyhow... And I know. I've been everywhere and seen everything and done everything." There's something about this quote that has an honest truth to it. I by no means think girls should be fools, but sometimes it's freeing to be a beautiful little fool for a moment.
