Happy hump day friends! So I know a week or so ago I mentioned something about maybe having found the dress, well false alarm. I basically fell for the first dress I put on myself. It was truly a beautiful dress and it fit me absolutely perfect, like no alterations needed! My parents told me to really think about if I wanted it and just wait it out to make sure it was truly the one. I'm so glad that I waited it out because I went to a bridal store last weekend and tried on some more dresses that were completely different from the first one and loooooooved one even more. My dad has set a pretty strict budget on how much to spend on my dress. Ideally he wants to only spend $1500-$2000 on a dress, which of course I had to go and bust with my picks. I found 2 potential dresses that were both above $2500, what can I say I have expensive taste.
I unfortunately couldn't take any pictures of me in the dresses because the shop prohibits taking any pictures, boo. It's still kind of up in the air on if my family and I will be going to India and going wedding dress shopping there. I kind of just want the dress that I fell in love with ($2500), but know that is an awful lot to spend on a dress that I'll wear just once. In the meantime, I'll be putting trying on any more dresses on hold because it's a roller coaster of emotions, trying on beautiful (expensive) dresses and falling in love only to be told it's out of my budget. I will however keep lusting over some of my dress inspiration photos!

Can you tell my style is all over the place?? I know I love big pattern and makes a statement. I love the expensive look of hand embroidering, love lace and fun textures. Not necessarily blinged out, but I want to shine. I know I definitely want a mermaid style because I love the way it hugs my curves.

These are all so gorgeous and glamorous! Something about the ones with red in them make me think that they'd look amazing in pictures!
ReplyDeleteI know people say "it's only one day" that you wear the dress but it's in your WEDDING pictures, for a lifetime! I'm probably a bad influence but go with the dress you love, if you can make room for the extra $$$ =)
ReplyDeleteYour dress choices are amazing, lady! They are allllll so glamorous. My opinion is you will find the perfect dress that fits your budget, I promise. The dress I wanted was not at all what I expected and was right at my budget and I still swoon looking at it.
ReplyDeleteDress shopping is hard! I love all of those pictures, the dresses are stunning! I can't even pick a favorite because they are all beautiful. It's a lot of pressure, but know that whatever you choose you will look amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh my Nikki - these are all beautiful!! I know the one you will choose will be equally if not more gorgeous than your inspiration! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteThose are all seriously gorgeous, especially that last one.
ReplyDeleteYour inspiration dresses are all gorgeous. You should tell your dad that flying all of you to India to shop will be WAY MORE than the extra $500 for your dream dress ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! My mom wanted us to go to Montreal to shop for mine, and I know the experience would have made for some wonderful memories, but it would have made the dress cost more.
DeleteAll of those dresses are beautiful! Dressing shopping is such an experience, but also stressful! I can't wait to hear what you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteThese dresses are GORGEOUS! But if you found a dress you're in love with that's a little over budget, it's still much cheaper than flying to India to try on dresses - although I think I'll have to join you on that fun trip :)

AAHHHH I LOVE SHAADI DRESSES! Haha. I didn't have time to try on dresses, so I literally picked my outfit by looking at a picture and then since it was made in Pakistan, I didn't see it in real life until 2 weeks before my wedding, lol!! Insanity, I tell you! You're going to be stunning, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love options two and three! That gold top in the third one is amazing. I'm not looking forward to trying on dresses, but I'm really hoping that no one puts me in a dress I can't afford. I don't want to fall in love with something I can't have.
