Happy Monday loves! This is strange for me because I literally have no job to go to...it's kind of strange to be unemployed like this especially after working non-stop for over 10 years!! This definitely doesn't mean I'll be laying in bed binge watching Netflix for hours...I have so many dang appointments to get through in the next 2 weeks before it's finally wedding week!!!
This weekend was one for the books! It was good for the soul and wish I could have enjoyed it all over again!!
On Friday, after my last day of work (tear) I headed to pick up some sushi because the craving was something fierce!!!
On Saturday, I woke up and ran a few errands before heading out to Ravinia for the Fray & Gavin DeGraw concert! The Ravinia is cool because it's more about the experience than just the concert. Not only can you bring your lawn chairs, but you could bring all the food and alcohol/drinks your group can carry. We packed up our cooler and picnic gear for the park. After we claimed our stake, we enjoyed our food and wine before enjoying the music of Gavin DeGraw & The Fray. It brought me back to my high school/college days and man were those good times! I absolutely love both their music and was transported. They are both also VERY good live, so if you are a fan and have a chance to check them out in concert, do it!! Now I'll just spill pictures :)!
By the end of the night we were sweaty and gross, but wouldn't trade that for anything! Best concert ever for sure!!
The next morning, I prepped for a late afternoon BBQ/picnic at the local forest preserve. We got super lucky with the weather, but unfortunately weren't able to stay at the forest preserve for long. Instead we headed back to our friends place and hung out in the sunroom and backyard, we ate a bunch and played Cards Against Humanity...which is always a fun time!
