Happy Monday friends! It's a happy one indeed because I took an extended weekend to spend time with some friends who are in from Jersey. I'll be frolicking around the city today with them instead of working so that's a win.
On Saturday, I had a group of girls as clients to do hair on. My friend had recommended me to them when they needed someone to get them ready for a wedding. I had never done anything like this, but I smell a side hobby when I move to Texas! I completely flaked on getting any pictures of the hair on my phone, but will try to get some from the girls. Instead I got this pretty picture of the hotel lobby display.
On Sunday, we all woke up bright and early to head to a religious ceremony that we do when a boy turns 1.5 years old. It's when he gets his first haircut and my nephew hit this milestone. The shave is supposed to represent a freedom from the past and moving into the future fresh. My poor nephew has such thin, fine hair that took a long time to grow, so having that all shaved off was bittersweet, but he looks adorable nonetheless!
Afterwards we headed to their house for a little housewarming/bbq and it turned out to be the perfect day. Volleyball and plenty of eating was on the menu and I was exhausted when I got home!
Hope y'all's weekend was fantastic, I have plenty of blog reading to catch up on so sorry if you haven't gotten many comments from me, I feel like I'm drowning in things right now!
Linking up with Biana for weekending!
