Recipe: Apple Slice Bars

Hey friends! Today I have another easy dessert recipe for you guys. My coworker makes this for pretty much every single potluck and I can't get enough, so I asked her for her recipe so I can attempt it myself. I haven't made it yet, but I just know this is gonna be an easy dish to make, perfect for bbq's and parties for the summer!

Apple slice bars

Ingredients:
2 boxes pie crust (usually 2 crusts in each box)
4 cans apple pie filling (can use cherry or blueberry if you choose)
9x13 cookie sheet
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sugar (optional-to taste)

Directions:
1. Cover entire cookie sheet with Pam cooking spray
2. Use 1 box of pie crust and mold to cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix apples (or whatever filling you choose), 2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp sugar (or to taste).
4. Pour the mix over the cookie pie crust.
5. Lay the second layer of pie crust over the apples, again molding it to the cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and cool for 1 hour.
7. Add icing (see recipe below)

Icing ingredients:
1 1/2-2 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Blend all of the above together to create icing.

Make sure to drizzle the icing AFTER the apple slices have fully cooled for an hour or the icing will melt.

This is just a Google image, but pretty close to what this should look like!
