The Re-Introduction of Nikki

Hey guys! After seeing this type of post on Emelia's blog I knew I had to write it down and do a version of it for myself. Some of you readers may be new and if not, could learn a few new things about me through this. If you want to do a similar post, go for it...just give some credit to Emelia and I.

Where was the last place you traveled to?
Technically speaking it was Houston, but that's basically my home now so I won't count that. Disney World/Orlando was the last real trip back in March. It feels like ages ago, but it really wasn't. I went with my sister and we seriously had the best time ever! I felt like a kid again and the whole atmosphere of the parks are fun. Can't wait to go back and visit more of the parks in the future. You can read all about our trip here and here!

stupid crane ruined the picture!!!

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what are three materialistic things you'd want with you?
Probably my cellphone w/ charger (counting that as one item), concealer & swiss army knife. Clearly I have my priorities guys lol!

When was the last time you tried something new, and what was it?
Back in January while I was in Houston, A and I went to one of his favorite sushi restaurants. It was the first time I ate sushi with 4 different types of raw seafood in there without chickening out or noticing anything. It ended up being super delicious and I swear if I read what was in it I definitely wouldn't have eaten it!

If you knew you could not fail, what is the one thing you would do tomorrow?
Just like Emelia, 100% I would work towards being a wedding/event planner. As dumb as it sounds, after watching The Wedding Planner, it made me want to be a wedding planner so much more. I help my friends throw parties and have helped with quite a few weddings, so I'm sort of groomed for it and after I (hopefully successfully) get through my own, I should be a certified pro. The potential of failure definitely scares me, but hopefully one day I'll be able to pursue my dreams.

What is your earliest memory?
This one is hard because I have a terrible memory and a lot of times it feels spotty, but I can vividly remember my childhood spent visiting India and my father's parents who lived there at the time. We would always stay for about a month or longer and all the food and places we traveled to are priceless memories. I can't wait to go back again and explore more of the beautiful country.

If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My favorite Mexican restaurant, Pepe's has the bomb.com enchiladas and I could seriously eat that everyday if I wouldn't be 600 lbs. Like seriously, I can't quit these!

Do you like your first name and why? If not, what would you change it to?
Well funny story, my real name isn't Nikki. My real name is actually Namrata, but I have not gone by that name ever, I've always been Nikki (earlier years was just Niki, I spiced it up with an extra 'K'). As pretty as my real name is, nobody has called me that and Nikki is really what I'm comfortable with, so if I were to change it, it would probably be changed to Nikki.

If you could give yourself one gift, what would it be?
Is a million dollars a reasonable answer? Lol...if it were a non-materialistic gift, then it would be being more of a calm person who doesn't lose her temper easily. I have been told I can be quite the hothead and it's something I work on daily, but if I'm pushed far enough, there's no stopping me, I wish that were different and I handled difficult situations better.

Would you rather be the person asking the questions in a conversation or the person answering them?
I do like a little back and forth, but I prefer answering the questions!

If you had to live in a place where only one season existed year-round, what would that season be?
Spring/early-summer! I cannot stand the cold and thankfully I'm leaving the cold weather state of Illinois for warm and sunny Texas in July!! Although the summer's in Texas are rough and humid, I would take that over snow any day!

If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Shop, duh! I would also love to travel around the world and do some volunteer work.

I hope you guys got to know me a little bit better!! Let me know in the comments below if you decide to do this, I can't wait to read your answers :)!

  3. A girl after my own heart! I could eat Mexican food for the rest of my life, but I would probably be 600 pounds too! Good thing you're moving to Texas soon, right? And hooray for trying new sushi! The first time I tried raw sushi I didn't realize that the fish was raw either, and not I can't quit it!

  4. The first time I tried sushi, I made my friend order everything and I refused to actually look at the menu. I told her to just order what she normally does and I would eat it. And I LOVED it. Now I could literally eat sushi every day and be totally fine with it. And I've even started eating the raw fish kind like you talked about.

Also I too have a terrible memory. Especially my long term memory. It's awful. It's one of the reasons I blog! lol
