Blogger Men Tell All | June Edition

So back around March or April, I spilled the beans to A about my secret....I had a blog! A's response wasn't as strange as I thought he was gonna be with this news, I got myself a winner. I had fun asking him some fun questions and letting you guys get to know the man behind the blog better and I definitely wanted to get a chance to join in on the Blogger Men Tell All link up! If you want to join in on the fun, don't worry the link up will be up for an entire month!!!

He may hurt me if he knows I ever posted this picture...whoops!
(As you can tell he has a sweet tooth just like me, so that's good :)!)

-What is your favorite summer treat?
Coconut ice cream, hands down every time!

-If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go and why?
Italy, there is so much to see and do there, plus all the rich history and the food!!

-Do you have a favorite song that says "summer" to you? What is it?
I don't know if this says "summer" but I love my man Enrique Iglesias and the english version of Bailando.

He's obsessed with any song with Enrique, so this one was an obvious answer for me!

-What summer project are you hoping to accomplish before fall?
Getting the TV in our future room mounted so Nikki can watch all her girly TV shows.
He's a good man and knows the way to my heart is through the TV :)!

This was so much fun and I hope you guys got to know A a little more through this!

Wedding Wednesday | South Beach Bachelorette Partyin'

Happy Wedding Wednesday my loves!

I've been dragging my feet at finally getting around to recapping my trip to Miami to celebrate my bachelorette party. I really wish I could go back in time and re-live this weekend all over again. The sand between my toes and saltwater in my hair was just good for my soul...along with the girl time I got as well! We held my bachelorette party from Friday to Sunday and boy did that time just fly!

After everyone had flown in on Friday, we settled into our adorable boutique hotel The Surfcomber. This was seriously the perfect hotel for our weekend because it was right in the middle of the action on South Beach, literally ON the beach and had an awesome staff! I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite, which I was thrilled with! The girls and I immediately began to decorate for the weekend and had a blast doing so.

We kept it classy....

....and a bit sassy!

After all the fun with decorating and getting settled in, we all decided to hit up the hotel pool and walk over to the ocean to check it out. We knew we didn't have too much time since we had to get ready, but once I set my sights on the ocean, I didn't want to leave...ever!!

I mean just look at that crystal clear water...can't get enough!!!

After we pulled away from the ocean, we headed back to our rooms to start getting ready for the evening. We had reservations at Dolce which is an amazing Italian restaurant. They hooked us up and the food was amazing!!

My gorgeous cousins and I posing before dinner.

Champs, always!

After getting stuffed, we headed back to the hotel to drink some more and play some games. We mostly selfied it up before heading out for the night. I was totally unaware that people didn't go out until at least 11:30pm-12am!! So if you're looking to go out in Miami, be prepared to stay up wayyy past your bedtime ;)!

I loved these little tattoos I got from Etsy, but was bummed with the staying power. Basically if you get it wet (like shower, pool, ocean) it will start rubbing off and disappear...not what I expected, but at least we got a cute pic of it!

That night I stayed up wayyyyy past my bedtime (like 4:30am late), but I had the time of my life. My cousins friends met us up while we were out and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. I played some fun scavenger hunt games while out and made a definite fool of myself...luckily there isn't too much photographic evidence of all the foolery that occurred that night!

Let's just say, waking up on Saturday morning was rough to say the least!! We had to be up and on the way to our brunch reservations at 11:30am which was definitely early considering the late night we had. Somehow we managed to make it there perfectly on time and it was SO worth waking up hungover! We brunched at the famous Palace on Ocean Dr. It's a unique brunch experience because not only are you eating yummy food, but you are getting an incredible drag show while you eat. I was beyond fascinated by the performers and if you caught it on snapchat (npat62) you know what I'm talking about!

Bottomless mimosas, yes please!

Gorgeous server at the Palace that all of us were swooning over. I was convinced he was Enrique Igesias' body double, yummy!!

After heading back to the hotel stuffed, we of course decided we had to hit up the beach again! This time we stayed for longer since we had the time, thank god!

That evening we decided to experience Mexican food, Miami style and it totally didn't disappoint!

I wish I had more pictures from this night because this is my favorite dress, like ever!

After dinner we made our way back to the hotel to decide what to do the rest of the evening. We collectively decided to stay in and have a girls night in since we went hard the night before. This was literally the best idea plus we got to finish up playing games and drinking without having to wear heels or anything!

Since we hadn't gotten any pictures of all the girls together in the tanks I made for the girls, we decided to photoshoot it up! I got some great shots with each of my girls and they gifted me with the cutest "kiss the miss goodbye" frame!!

Sunday morning, we woke up bright and early to say goodbye to a few of the girls who had early flights home. The rest of the morning was spent cleaning up and packing our bags for check out. It was bittersweet because it was such a fun time with my girls before the wedding, but I definitely wasn't ready to leave Miami!

Luckily, after we had packed up, the few of us that were left headed to the beach to take some pictures and spend a few more minutes enjoying the ocean breeze!

Love my sissy for making sure my bachelorette party was the best time ever <3 p="">

Well there you have it, a recap of my really short trip to Miami to celebrate my bachelorette party! South Beach showed me a good friggin' time and I cannot believe I hung without puking my brains out and went out of my comfort zone for most of the time. The beach was most definitely my favorite part of the trip and I'm glad we got to spend as much time as we did while there!!

Now it’s your turn to link-up and share your wedding tales.

Macy and I love reading all about your big day, someone else’s wedding adventures, or anything else wedding related. We just can’t wait to read all about it!

Stepping Into Summer Swap

Happy Tuesday my popsicles!

Today is exciting because I'm sharing what fun goodies I got from the stepping into summer swap that was hosted by Meg and my co-host on Wedding Wednesday Macy!!

As soon as I saw the post go up a while back about a swap, I immediately signed up for it. The timing worked out perfectly, even though I slightly procrastinated sending my package over to my partner (sorry)! A blogger swap is a fun way to meet someone new and send/receive some!!

I was paired with Ashley from A Cute Angle! Immediately we both clicked on the fact that we were both Medical Assistants living in the midwest!!! I had an absolute blast getting to know Ashley through her blog and emailing back and forth. I hope she likes my sandals and nail polish color...I almost bought two of the bottle I sent her because I loved it so much!

When I got Ashley's package in the mail I was overjoyed and excited to tear into it! She got me to a T and even through in a little extra goody that meant something close to my heart, such a sweetheart!!

I absolutely love the sandals because they can dress up any outfit with that subtle hint of bling. Also the polish colors (she sent me 2!!!) are absolutely perfect and my favorite color combos! The bracelet she sent me is a heartbeat and after working in cardiology for close to 8 years, it holds a special place in my heart. I'm truly thankful I got paired up with someone so thoughtful and considerate!

Thanks Ashley for my goodies, hope you enjoy yours! Also a big thanks to Meg & Macy for hosting such a fun swap!

Weekend Vibes | Concerting & BBQing

Happy Monday loves! This is strange for me because I literally have no job to go's kind of strange to be unemployed like this especially after working non-stop for over 10 years!! This definitely doesn't mean I'll be laying in bed binge watching Netflix for hours...I have so many dang appointments to get through in the next 2 weeks before it's finally wedding week!!!

This weekend was one for the books! It was good for the soul and wish I could have enjoyed it all over again!!

On Friday, after my last day of work (tear) I headed to pick up some sushi because the craving was something fierce!!!

On Saturday, I woke up and ran a few errands before heading out to Ravinia for the Fray & Gavin DeGraw concert! The Ravinia is cool because it's more about the experience than just the concert. Not only can you bring your lawn chairs, but you could bring all the food and alcohol/drinks your group can carry. We packed up our cooler and picnic gear for the park. After we claimed our stake, we enjoyed our food and wine before enjoying the music of Gavin DeGraw & The Fray. It brought me back to my high school/college days and man were those good times! I absolutely love both their music and was transported. They are both also VERY good live, so if you are a fan and have a chance to check them out in concert, do it!! Now I'll just spill pictures :)!

By the end of the night we were sweaty and gross, but wouldn't trade that for anything! Best concert ever for sure!!

The next morning, I prepped for a late afternoon BBQ/picnic at the local forest preserve. We got super lucky with the weather, but unfortunately weren't able to stay at the forest preserve for long. Instead we headed back to our friends place and hung out in the sunroom and backyard, we ate a bunch and played Cards Against Humanity...which is always a fun time!

Friday Faves | Last Day At Work

Happy Friday friends! I swear I was typing up a post yesterday and just fell asleep...this has been happening way too many times for it to be normal. I think the wedding stress/exhaustion has gotten to me lately.

Today is a bittersweet Friday for me because this is the very last day of work for me at my clinic. I literally cannot believe this is it for me and since October of 2014, I've learned so much and grown exponentially at the heart failure clinic. I've grown super close to my coworkers and have made lifelong friends. My coworkers are what makes leaving my job the hardest. Today will be tough, but I know I will party with them at my wedding in 3 short weeks and I'm thrilled for that! I'm hoping some happy hours/dinners out are slated for the next few weeks too!

On Wednesday, my coworkers through me a going away party and it couldn't have been better. I got some great presents from my work bestie and some amazing pizza and cake!!

How good does that cake look?! Welp, unfortunately I've got nothing else for you folks! I'm hoping to be better at the blogging game next week, but then again it's my favorite time of year....SHARK WEEK!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I'm heading to see The Fray & Gavin DeGraw and I'm beyond excited!!! Happy weekend :)!
