Friday my younger sister drove back up from school and after work and class, my mom, sister and I headed out for our favorite Mexican restaurant. It was a long overdue birthday dinner and as always, a great time, just us girls! Afterwards, we rented What to expect when you're expecting and I thought it was a nice lighthearted comedy, definitely glad I waited until it came out on DVD to rent it and not pay movie theater price for it, but still a great movie to watch.
Saturday my sister and I headed to the movies to watch Pitch Perfect. Now if you have a chance to go watch this, GO!! It is such a funny movie and the actors are so perfectly cast. Anna Kendrick is a great lead actress and Rebel Wilson is such a hilarious addition to the cast. If you want some laughs, singing, and a little romance thrown in, this is the movie for you! Afterwards, I ran a few errands, grocery shopped, and we had a pizza night at home.
Sunday I headed to brunch with some of my girlfriends at the best brunch place around us, Wildberry. If you are from the Chicago area, I definitely recommend going and checking it out. Amazing omelettes, so many different and yummy pancakes to choose from, and a variety of lunch options as well. I opted for the southwest veggie wrap with blackened chicken and some sweet potato fries....yum!
After brunch I headed over to the mall to stock back up on my makeup that's running out from Sephora and then did a little detour shopping at Target. I picked up a really cute teal sweater for only $17.99!! For dinner, the family headed over to my cousins for dinner and it was such a nice way to end my weekend. After getting home I did go a little nuts and completely did a little room makeover, getting rid of all the crap that has been collecting dust. It was nice to look back at my room and see a nice, clean and organized room!
p.s. A bunch of us Chicago bloggers are planning on meeting up on November 4th {Sunday}. If you are in the Chicagoland area and would like to join us, just send me an email and I'll gladly add you onto the list!!
What did you all do this weekend?
See any fun movies?
